2005 Chevy Cavalier, have had for about a year, still runs. Damage to the drivers side rear from someone during the winter and clear coat is coming off, but otherwise no real cosmetic problems. Transmission isn't working well but don't have time or money to fix. Had motor replacement a couple months back and that is when the transmission went out, will to sell for part or the car. Today you are looking at a real gem! This is a one-owner 1997 Chevy Cavalier with low miles. If you run the CARFAX, it will likely show two owners. This is because it went from father to daughter around 2005. It was always in the same immediate family and METICULOUSLY maintained. On that note, it should be known that the father was a mechanic and always cared for this car well beyond the parameters established by the manufacturer. This car has been known as 'Henry' ever since the daughter took ownership. Owner's manual, sticker, the works- Clean and clear New York state title- Starts, idles, runs, and drives without a hiccup- BRAND NEW BRAKE LINES, all lines, all connectors, front pads surfaced- BRAND NEW FUEL LINES, FUEL FILTER, all components- BRAND NEW BATTERY- New wipers- Oil change performed less than 10 miles ago- Power windows/locks work beautifully- Interior is beautiful, near flawless aside from one very small stain and some minor sun damage to the dash- Exterior is generally beautiful. Missing hood emblem and one small dent from a neighborhood kid playing baseball too close to the car (pictured)- Everything, unless listed otherwise below, functions as designed.THE BAD- A/C works, but needs to be recharged- Key fob works, but needs battery- The transmission is maintenance-free, but the seals are probably a year or so away from requiring service- Tires have some tread (pictured), but some better winter shoes are probably advisable- Surface rust on the underside of the car. NOTHING on the frame, NOTHING rotted at all. Most importantly, NOTHING that would prevent him from passing inspection.- Exhaust from the intermediate pipe back as well as the main radiator hose should be monitored over the next couple years (nothing imminent).The work that was most recently done (noted above) was performed by Al at AA Budget Repair in Ellington. This car is ideal for a new driver. It is reliable, appropriately powered, priced correctly, and well-maintained throughout its lifetime.
